Stable from University of Queensland with artists Edward Colclough and E. Ashton Murphy as Secretary and Treasurer. The poet Mabel Forrest and A.H. Davis (Steele Rudd) served as Vice-Presidents. Steele Rudd was instrumental afterwards in the formation of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (FAW) in Sydney in 1928. The QAAA became the Queensland Branch of the National Fellowship of Australian Writers before adopting the current name in 1958.
