Teacher Anthology

Di Bates, editor and publisher of Buzz Words magazine for people connected with the Children’s Book industry, says: 

“I am collecting stories from teachers all around Australia about their teaching lives for a proposed anthology titled Teacher, Teacher. I know many publishers (I’ve published 150 books), so I have no doubt I could sell the book to one of them. 

In your story, you might talk about your teaching philosophy, the scope of your career, a single episode, a single school or even a student. Basically, it’s up to you.  

Each story – with a title – should be 1,000-1,500 words.

At the end of the book, there will be a biography of contributors, up to 200 words (including published books and websites). 

Deadline for stories is 30 June. 

Payment to contributors will be at the ASA rates.
