Wyong Writers Haiku Contest Winner 2025
Wyong Writers FAW Branch concluded the 2025 Inhouse Haiku competition in November 2025. The competition was won by Maureen Trotter and Runner-up was Keith Brady.

Haiku Workshop
The club hosted a workshop by Haiku specialist Vanessa Proctor as a lead in to the competition to help members get to understand Haiku poetry. (For more details on Vanessa haikupedia.org/article-haikupedia/vanessa-proctor/)
2025 Anthology
Wyong Writers’ 2025 Anthology Moonlight and Shadows with a theme of Moonlight can play tricks on your eyes. Especially with a full moon shining onto an empty street full of shadows was completed in November 2025. Copies of this Anthology are available for purchase for $10.00 from the club at their monthly meeting.
What’s on in the New Year?
An energetic committee led by President Lorraine Munt has plans for 3 workshops for the New Year. In February 2026 a workshop on writing a Children’s story will be conducted by Wyong Writers Group member Patricia Webb as our Inhouse Prose Competition 2026 (A Children’s story) gets underway. Visitors are welcome to attend the workshop.
