- The 2018 FAW Walter Stone Award for Life Writing
- The 2108 FAW Jean Stone Award for Poetry
- Hilarie Lindsay Young Writers Poetry Competition for Australian School Children. Four prize categories cover students from Years 4–12.

Our Special Guest Speaker this year is Suzanne Gervay AM, children’s author and recent nominee for the annual Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (Sweden) for children’s and young adult literature.
