ACU Prize for Poetry winners announced

Australian Catholic University (ACU) is thrilled to announce the winners for the ACU 2020 Prize for Poetry in celebration of the theme ‘Generosity’.

The ACU Prize for Poetry recognises and supports the importance of poetry in Australian culture and the part it can play in the spiritual life of both those writing it and those reading it.

  • First Prize of $10,000 went to Geoff Page for his entry ‘Jericho’.
  • Second prize of $5,000 went to Fiona Lynch of Elwood Vic for her poem ‘Footprints’. 
  • Third Prize of $3,000 was won by Damen O’Brien of Wynnum in QLD for his poem, ‘Atlas Carried the World’.
