Against the Tide

Margaret Zanardo

#143 Pocket Poets series, Ginninderra Press, South Australia, 2021

Inspired by the ever-changing nature of the sea and written during the past year, these twenty poems reflect life’s joys and heartaches, along with the solace to be found in nature. These are poems of love, struggle, perseverance and hope, set against the power of the sea and the mystery of the moon.

Margaret is a Sydney poet, writer and graphic designer. She is a member of Harbourside Poets and has had work published in a number of poetry journals.

Against the Tide is Margaret’s second poetry chapbook from Ginninderra Press.

“… images that swirl in wave and weather… Margaret’s longer poem sequence indicates a new maturity and control of poetic form and technique. A remarkable achievement”— Dr Dorothy Keyworth, Society of Women Writers.

Against the Tide and Time Out of Mind (featuring poems of love and loss) are available from www.ginninderrapress.com.au  $5 each plus postage
