2021 Australian Catholic University Prize for Poetry

Closing date 5 Julyextended to Monday 19 July 2021 at 11.59pm

Theme: RESILIENCE. Maximum 80 lines. 

Writers are competing for the coveted $10,000 first prize which will be awarded to the most outstanding poem that captures the spirit of resilience. A second prize award of $5,000 is also available and $3,000 be will be awarded as third prize. 

The winning, highly commended, and shortlisted poems will be announced at the 2021 Awards Night held at ACU Melbourne Campus on Tuesday 7th September 2021. These poems will also be published in the 2021 ACU Prize for Poetry Chapbook which will be gifted to winners and available to purchase.  

The ACU Prize for Poetry aims to support writers and to continue the tradition of the Catholic Church as a key patron of the Arts.
