Trevar Langlands – Bio

16 years as State President

Trevar is a poet and has been published in various forms, books and literary magazines – in English, Arabic and Russian.

Most of his career has been in Commercial radio commencing in Brisbane, later to NSW.

He has done at least 15 Theatre productions acting in comedy and drama from amateur to semi professional as well as bit roles in TV and film.

Trevar conducted “Poets in the Pub” for seven years and “Poets at the Stables Camden” for several years. He was also Poetry coordinator for the Sydney City Library several years.

He has traveled to Russia several times, each time appearing on radio or TV.

Researching history his family roots range from Smolensk region of Russia, Poland, Germany and Scotland.

Trevar has performed his poetry with elephants in a circus act, at a haunted house dinner, has sung jazz in Russian cafes and gets a lot of inspiration from travel.

Trevar’s Arts and Entertainment radio show is heard on 100.3 FM Wednesday noon to 4pm – book/movie reviews, music, interviews, poetry and literature. Also broadcast worldwide on the net at www.2mcr.org.au.
