The Stringybark Short Story Award 2015

Closing date for entries is 31 January 2016.
Stringybark Stories is pleased to announce its latest short story award with over $900 in cash and book prizes, as well as publication, awarded for the best entries. The winning tale will be a story of 1500 words or fewer that entertains the judges.

Bob Bush recognised as Writing Fellow

Performance Poet and member of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (North Arm Cove Branch), Bob Bush has been recognised by the FAW as a Writing Fellow.

Bob Bush writes and performs poetry in the Australian Bush Poetry style and has published four poetry books and a CD.

2016 William Saroyan International Prize For Writing

Deadline for Entries: January 29, 2016.

Submissions are now being accepted for the seventh William Saroyan International Prize for Writing. This award, given by Stanford University Libraries in partnership with the William Saroyan Foundation, recognises newly published works of fiction and nonfiction with a $5,000 award for the winner in each category.

Making Them Real
